Our shop is situated on highway 75, between Christchurch to Akaroa
If you're driving from Christchurch to Akaroa (Highway 75), you can't miss the Barrys Bay Cheese factory and shop. You'll find them on the left, where the road leading down from the Hilltop meets the sea at Barrys Bay. We offer daily cheese tastings and our shop is open every day from 9am to 5pm.
Along with our selection of handmade cheeses, we also have a range of local wines, beers, preserves, honeys, oils, gift items and more. During the cheese making season (October to May) you can watch cheese being made every second day. To find out what days we're making cheese, please call us on
